Fragment
A left eye, right eye, nose, and mouth are selected independently from 32 source portraits.

Public mint open · Ethereum
2,048 composite portraits assembled from fragments and rendered entirely on Ethereum.
The project
KILLERS examines the machinery that turns criminal images into cultural artefacts. No output represents one individual. Each face is assembled from four different source regions, then disrupted by colour, dithering, and pixelation.
Recognition is repeatedly offered and withdrawn. The result sits between portrait, signal, archive, and collective memory.
The method
A left eye, right eye, nose, and mouth are selected independently from 32 source portraits.
Four pieces become one synthetic identity: part portrait, part signal, part cultural artefact.
Palette, pixel scale, and dithering shift the assembled image between recognition and abstraction.
The finished SVG, metadata, traits, and permanent seed are returned directly from Ethereum.
The collection
Every permanent seed determines source fragments, composite structure, gaze, palette, pixel scale, and dither treatment.

Dormant at launchThe Hunt
The Hunt does not begin automatically. It is held behind sellout, time, and two deliberate on-chain decisions.
The Hunt remains dormant for at least 32 days after the collection sells out.
The artist may arm the mechanism through a deliberate on-chain transaction.
A minimum 48-hour delay separates arming from the irreversible activation decision.
Permissionless events may mark up to 256 unique tokens as deceased, no more than once every six hours.
Tokens are not burned. A deceased state changes the artwork and metadata permanently on-chain while the NFT remains in its holder's wallet. At least one token must always remain living.
Fully on-chain
Source traits, assembly logic, rendering, SVG artwork, metadata, and evolving token state live on Ethereum. The artwork reveals inside the mint transaction.
This website is an interface, not a dependency. The collection remains readable from the contracts if this page, a marketplace, or any other third party disappears.
